Our Services

Mental Health Services

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) diagnose and treat mental illnesses, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, substance abuse, and schizophrenia, using a combination of medication and psychotherapy.

Psychopharmacology

Our goal of psychopharmacology is a comprehensive and individual approach to balance therapeutic effects with the minimization of side effects.

Achieving the right medication regimen often involves considering a patient's history, genetic factors, current health, and possible interactions with other drugs.

Medication Management

Medications affect the mind and behavior. These medications work primarily by targeting neurotransmitters—chemical messengers in the brain such as glutamate, serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)—to regulate mood, anxiety, thought processes, and overall mental functioning. The main classes of psychotropic drugs include antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anxiolytics, and stimulants. Each class serves specific functions, such as improving depressive symptoms, stabilizing mood swings, alleviating anxiety, or controlling psychotic episodes.

Psychotherapy

Our PMHMP’s believe our thoughts drive our feelings and our feelings drive our behavior. We believe in an integrated approach of medication management and psychotherapy, and have quality referral sources for intensive therapy if requested.
